The NHIVNA Executive Committee is currently discussing the launch of new guidelines in HIV Nursing for potential release in 2012/13. Further information regarding NHIVNA Guidelines will be published in due course.

Guidelines for Nurse Led HIV Clinic
The HIV outpatient caseload has increased dramatically over the last few years. In 2005 and 2006 there were around 130 referrals each year. There appears to be no slow down in these numbers so far this year. By the end of 2006 the cumulative number of patients seen in the clinic is greater than 600.

Time to Test for HIV
NHIVNA took part in a one-day national conference on World AIDS Day, 1 December 2010 which was organised by the British HIV Association (BHIVA) in collaboration the National HIV Nurse's Association (NHIVNA), British Association for Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH), Department of Health, Health Protection Agency, Royal College of Physicians, Children's HIV Association (CHIVA) and HIV Pharmacy Association (HIVPA).

BHIVA guidelines for the treatment of HIV-infected adults with antiretroviral therapy 2008
The 2008 BHIVA Guidelines have been comprehensively revised and incorporate all the new relevant information, including presentations at CROI 2008, since the last iteration. All peer-reviewed publications and important, potentially treatment-changing abstracts over the last 2 years have been reviewed.
