NHIVNA Awards

Krattinger Rennison Charitable Trust Nursing Research Award

Awarded for an original piece of research presented at the NHIVNA Annual Conference either as an oral or poster presentation. Winning presenters receive a financial award and will be required to write up their research in the journal HIV Nursing.

NHIVNA/Boehringer Ingelheim Clinical Practice Award

Awarded for a clinical practice initiative that has made an impact on patient care presented at the NHIVNA Annual Conference either as an oral or poster presentation. The winning presenter will receive a financial award.

NHIVNA/BMS Best Poster Award

Awarded for the best poster presentation displayed at the NHIVNA Annual Conference. The winning presenter will receive a financial award.

NHIVNA Student Nurse Registration Concession Awards

NHIVNA are pleased to offer up to ten NHIVNA Student Nurse Registration Concession Awards to assist student nurses to attend the NHIVNA Annual Conference. To be eligible for a scholarship, student nurses need to apply in writing when submitting their registration form to the Conference Organisers

Successful applicants will be eligible to register at the reduced registration rate of £50.

NHIVNA/Boehringer Ingelheim Junior Nurse Scholarships

NHIVNA and Boehringer Ingelheim are pleased to offer up to eight scholarships to attend the NHIVNA Annual Conference. The award includes free registration, a contribution of a maximum of £150 towards accommodation, and a maximum of £50 towards travel expenses. To be eligible for a scholarship you must have not have been awarded this scholarship in 2007 and have worked as a nurse in an acute or community setting, caring for people with HIV for two years or less. Please send a biography and a supporting statement (no more than 250 words) of why you would like to attend the conference, signed by your manager, to the Conference Organisers by 28th March 2008. Places will be awarded by the NHIVNA Executive Committee and successful applicants will be notified week commencing 11 April 2008.

NHIVNA Study Day Scholarships

Abbott has kindly provided support for the NHIVNA Study Day Programme. These Scholarships are intended to support nurses who wish to attend NHIVNA-supported events to further their HIV nursing education. On this occasion we should like to make the scholarships available to those nurses who register,and attend in full, the NHIVNA Annual Conference on 26-27 June, and the NHIVNA/Abbott Pre-Conference study day on Wednesday 25 June. Support will comprise a £125 refund of your NHIVNA Annual Conference registration fee. There are a maximum of 70 awards, which in principle will be administered on a first come, first served basis. Refunds will be administered immediately after the conference and will be made payable to the person or organisation funding the registration.
