27th Annual Conference of NHIVNA (Leeds 2025)

Introduction

The 27th Annual Conference of the National HIV Nurses Association (NHIVNA) will be held from 11–13 June 2025.

The conference will run over two and a half days this year.

Registration

Early Bird rates are available until midnight Monday 12th May 2025. After this date, standard rates will apply.

† Please note, non-NHIVNA members may register at the reduced rate applying to NHIVNA members if their registration forms are accompanied by a completed NHIVNA membership form and the appropriate payment.

You will be informed on Friday 17th April 2025 if your abstract or case presentation has been accepted.

Awards and Scholarships

Awards

NHIVNA Best Oral award for research/clinical practice - £100 + certificate
Awarded for the best oral presentation or case study covering either research or clinical practice at the NHIVNA Annual Conference. A NHIVNA-invited panel will judge the award and will review oral presentations based on the following criteria: quality of presentation; quality of research; impact on nursing practice; originality; and considered ethical issues (if appropriate).

NHIVNA Best Poster Presentation Award - £50 + certificate
Awarded for the best poster displayed at the NHIVNA Annual Conference. A NHIVNA-invited expert panel will judge the award and will review the posters based on the following criteria: quality of presentation; quality of research; impact on nursing practice; originality; and considered ethical issues (if appropriate).

NHIVNA Commended Poster Award - rosette
As above but will be awarded to three runners up.

Scholarships

Healthcare Professional Registration Support (supported by Gilead Sciences)
The scholarship will cover your full 3-day conference registration, and some may also include a contribution towards travel and accommodation (dependent on number of applications). To apply, please follow the instructions below:

• Enter all your details including billing address, and then select ‘scholarship application’

• You will be asked to enter your NHIVNA membership number and a short statement indicating how you will benefit from attending and how you will disseminate the information learned to your teams.

First-time Attendee Scholarships
NHIVNA has made available up to five First-time Attendee Registration Concession Scholarships to assist delegates who are attending a NHIVNA conference for the first time. To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must be not have attended the annual conference previously. The scholarship will allow registration at a rate of £125 for the full conference. • You will be charged if you selected to pay by card, however you will be refunded should you not be successful in your application
