Introduction
The 25th Annual Conference of the National HIV Nurses Association (NHIVNA) was held from 14 – 16 June 2023.
The main conference took place from Thursday 15 to Friday 16 June 2023 with the Pre-Conference Study Day taking place on Wednesday 14 June.
Both events took place at the IET Birmingham: Austin Court

Scholarships
First-time Attendee Scholarships
NHIVNA has made available up to five First-time Attendee Registration Concession Scholarships to assist delegates who are attending a NHIVNA conference for the first time. To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must be NHIVNA members in 2022 and not have attended the annual conference previously. The scholarship will allow registration at a rate of £125 for the full conference.

Healthcare Professional Registration Support (supported by Gilead Sciences)
A number of awards will be available to all healthcare professionals whose professional position is aligned to the conference (Applies to all MDT members and is not limited to doctors).
Only NHIVNA members can apply. To join NHIVNA, go to https://www.nhivna.org/membership
The support will cover: the conference registration fee (all days), and a contribution of up to £100 towards travel and accommodation.

Awards
NHIVNA Best Oral award for research/clinical practice - £250 + certificate
Awarded for the best oral presentation or case study covering either research or clinical practice at the NHIVNA Annual Conference. A NHIVNA-invited panel will judge the award and will review oral presentations based on the following criteria: quality of presentation; quality of research; impact on nursing practice; originality; and considered ethical issues (if appropriate).
NHIVNA Best Poster Presentation Award - £100 + certificate
Awarded for the best poster displayed at the NHIVNA Annual Conference. A NHIVNA-invited expert panel will judge the award and will review the posters based on the following criteria: quality of presentation; quality of research; impact on nursing practice; originality; and considered ethical issues (if appropriate).
NHIVNA Commended Poster Award - rosette
As above but will be awarded to three runners up.
